Philosophy towards martial arts training

Welcome to Bushi

Bushi Karate/Aikijujitsu is a martial arts school that has been in operation since May of 1970. Bushi offers classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced students of martial arts. Men, women and children can avail themselves of unlimited classes. One of the advantages in training at the Bushi Dojo is that a beginner through advanced can all train at the same time, giving all the students an opportunity to role model a possible world champion. Bushi being very family oriented allows adults and children to train at the same time, which gives the whole family the opportunity to train together.

Bushi is also concerned that individuals who may need to use self defense, control their attacker rather than destroy him. The use of Jujitsu and Aikijujitsu are laced through our defensive techniques to avoid serious damage to anyone that might be an attacker.

Bushi operates under a set of goals that we have had since the very founding of the school in May 11, 1970. We do our very best to make these goals part of everything that we do within the club.

Everyone who joins or visits Bushi enjoys our commitment to excellence in martial arts. Our training is carefully structured and rigorous. The instructors demand the best that each person has to give. The classes are very disciplined. Without this discipline, individuals would never be changed by the training...they would only be exercising. We are not an exercise club or weight loss program, conditioning and weight loss are a by-product of continuous training. We are in the business of making people stronger, more confident, and more demanding of themselves.
